How to properly maintain your qwetch bottle?
OUR TIPS FOR CLEANING YOUR STAINLESS STEEL BOTTLE
Stainless steel is a material that observes many advantages: it does not modify the organoleptic properties (color, smell, flavor) of food and drinks, it is resistant to shocks and corrosion and finally, it is hygienic. and very easy to clean. Here are our good tips to ensure that your stainless steel bottle does not take any wrinkles!
Tip #1: Regular washing for a healthy gourd.
To pamper your bottle, nothing better than a daily bath. We recommend simple hand washing with warm soapy water (mild dishwashing liquid or household soap is sufficient) after each use. Do not use abrasive agents (bleach is to be avoided!), they could damage the stainless steel or the pattern and color of your bottle.
Tip #2: Use a bottle brush to clean your water bottle.
The bottle brush remains the most effective utensil for maintaining a stainless steel water bottle. After emptying the contents of your stainless steel bottle, add a few drops of washing-up liquid and lukewarm water. Properly rub the inside of the bottle then rinse with clear water. Let your insulated or non-insulated bottle dry in the open air, upside down.
Tip #3: Thoroughly wash the cork, seal and neck of the bottle.
For a well-maintained bottle, don't forget to wash its cap and neck well, paying particular attention to the curved areas of the screw threads and the silicone seal (BPA-free). If you want to do a thorough wash, you can even remove the gasket from the cap using a thin kitchen utensil. Remember to put the seal back in its original location before reusing your bottle: it is this that guarantees its tightness!
DISINFECT AND GET RID OF BAD SMELLS IN YOUR BOTTLE
Stainless steel is not a material that retains odours, but this situation can arise if the bottle has been closed for too long or if you are used to pouring drinks other than water into it, such as coffee, tea or chocolate.
In this case, we recommend that you carry out a deep wash. Fill your bottle with hot water and a spoonful of baking soda, let it soak for a few hours. Then wash it with warm soapy water by rubbing the bottom and sides of your bottle with a bottle brush. Then let your bottle dry upside down and without the cap. Your bottle will be like new!
If the smell persists, you can also mix: hot water + white vinegar + 2 teaspoons baking soda , known for its natural deodorizing properties. Close your stainless steel bottle carefully then shake it vigorously. Rinse it with clean water.
When you are not using your bottle, we recommend that you store it without the cap so that air can circulate freely.
HOW TO PRESERVE YOUR INSULATED BOTTLE SUSTAINABLY?
The better you take care of your water bottle, the longer it will last! A few actions should be avoided in order to preserve your insulated and non-insulated bottles over the long term.
First of all, avoid leaving hot drinks in it. based on coffee, chocolate or tea or drinks other than water. Always empty your bottle after use.
Also refrain from putting your water bottle in the dishwasher or putting it in the freezer . Indeed, it could lose its insulating properties by allowing water or air to infiltrate the double-walled insulation system.
To finish, don't let your bottle sit too long in water . This could damage the paint and render the insulated system ineffective. Drying your water bottle is an important step, don't neglect it. The simplest: let it air dry, upside down.
