Recipe - samoussas with goat cheese, honey and spinach & cherry tomato quiche
LIST OF INGREDIENTS
For 3 Samosas
- 3 brick sheets
- 1 small goat cheese
- 20g fresh spinach
- 3 tbsp. liquid honey
- 1 C. sesame seeds
- 3 mint leaves
- Olive oil
- Pepper
For 2 portions of cherry tomato and mozzarella quiche
- 3 eggs
- 20 cl liquid fresh cream
- 50 g grated parmesan or emmental cheese
- ½ red onion
- 50 g matchstick bacon
- 1 drizzle of olive oil
- 1 C. teaspoon herbs de Provence or rosemary
- 1 roll of puff pastry
- 6 cherry tomatoes cut in 2
- 100 g mozzarella
- Salt and pepper
PREPARATION
For the Samosas recipe
Preparation : 15 minutes
Cooking : 5 minutes
Fold the pastry sheets in 2 then in 2 to obtain a band.
Cut the goat cheese into 4 slices.
Place each slice of cheese at the end of each strip of pastry sheet. Season with honey and pepper. Add a few spinach leaves and the mint.
Fold the pastry sheet strip over itself several times to enclose the ingredients and form a triangle.
Brush the samosas with olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cook the Samosas either in a hot oven for 5 minutes, or in a pan for 2 minutes on each side.
Place them in your Qwetch Meal Box.
For the cherry tomato and mozzarella quiche recipe
Preparation : 15 minutes
Cooking : 40 minutes
Preheat the oven to 210°C (th.7).
In a bowl, whisk the eggs into an omelet, salt and pepper.
Pour in the fresh cream and parmesan and mix.
Slice the half onion and sauté it for 3 minutes in a pan in hot oil with the Herbes de Provence.
Add the bacon strips and mix. Cook for another minute then pour this preparation into the cream and mix. Cut the mozzarella into pieces and add them.
Line a pie pan with puff pastry. Pour the preparation. Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes on top.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
Leave to cool completely then store in the refrigerator.
Place your two portions of quiche in your stainless steel container of the Qwetch Meal Box.
TIPS
For the Samosas
Make more Samosas and freeze them.
Make “everything” Samoussas, use leftover tajines for example, pot-au-feu, Sunday chicken and turn these leftovers into delicious Samoussa recipes.
For the cherry tomato and mozzarella quiche
Freeze leftover quiche for next time or store in the refrigerator for 4 days. Out of season, replace fresh tomatoes with pickled tomatoes or peppers.
